BU 82 1981 Daniel Pond house at 540 Blackstone Street. Built around 1865. Designed by H.C. Martin of Boston. Built for Daniel Pond, owner of Pond's Warp mill and second mayor of the city of Woonsocket. Pond was the first textile manufacturer to shorten his employees' work day to eight hours.
