CL 14 c. 1950 Edgar J. Allaire (b.1922, d.1971 in Woonsocket). Newsman and Local Historian. Worked for the Woonsocket Call for 26 years. As an avocation, he compiled copious and detailed information on Woonsocket history, which became a valuable source of information for local historians and scholars and proved invaluable in compiling the Woonsocket Centennial History in 1988.
