Elphege J. Daignault (b.1879, d. 1937) Lawyer/Editor. Leader in the Sentinellist movement of the 1920's. Author and orator, he led the Sentinellists in their struggle against Bishop William Hickey of the Diocese of Providence regarding financial and ethnic issues. His "Le vrai mouvement Sentinelliste" in 1935 is considered the definitive work on the movement's point of view. Was president-general of Canado-American Association.
